What is a virtual event?

A virtual event is essentially an event that you can attend virtually/digitally from the comfort and convenience of your home, office, or wherever else you can think of, through your personal computer or mobile device. Think of it as attending a standard Movazi webinar but with the ability to engage with anyone else that is attending a conference either physically or online. We are bringing two worlds together for a shared unique experience!

What is Movazi events?

The Movazi events platform is a bespoke platform that you can use to create your very own personalized virtual event, expo or conference to wow your digital guests! We have a range of themes to choose from to suit your brand image and the nature of your event.

Once live, your guests can use your customised virtual conference platform to find all the event info they need, and attend the event, expo, conference, meeting, or virtual team building session when the time comes. Some of the elements you could incorporate include a video message from your CEO, downloadable resources, info packs or PDFs, a session with an acclaimed speaker, and even audio and virtual chat. The sky’s the limit!

What features does Movazi events have?

List of available features:

  • People – Add/Manage different groups of an event: Attendees, Exhibitors (Booth Members), and Speakers. You can create new groups apart from the pre-defined groups and every information of the participants will be here.
  • Registration – Add paid/free tickets for your event. Once you add a ticket the attendees can buy tickets and access the event.
  • Sessions – Add sessions to your event. Once you add a session you can add more details, configure live streaming, Switch ON registrations, make the session visible only to certain groups of people, etc.
  • Virtual Booths (Booths) – Add sponsors and exhibitors to the event where you provide a virtual space for them to market their product or service by uploading the product videos & images and other downloadable collaterals.
  • One – On – One meeting – Schedule a meeting between two participants during the event. You can also manage the meeting timings by adding time ranges to restrict meetings timeline.
  • Lounge – You can create a networking lounge for all the attendees by adding lounge tables and making the in-person event experience more interactive. Set the slot duration for the meetings and specify lounge timings to make the lounge available in the time range.
  • Rooms – Create rooms to host single or multiple sessions for conducting demos, product presentations, breakout sessions, concurrent meetings/sessions, choose moderators from the people and allow who can join the room.

Which devices can be used to attend virtual events?

One of the great advantages of virtual events is that your guests can use whatever device is most convenient for them – anything from PC’s and laptops to tablets and smartphones. Do keep in mind that the user experience of the phone and laptop will be different. Though that when using a smartphone your screen is smaller, and therefore images can be harder to view.

How do I register for a virtual event?

Register for the virtual event by selecting the “Attend VIRTUALLY” option from the Movaziafrika register on the website. Follow the on screen instructions by logging into iMIS and filling out the information required to register. This process is the same as registering for the in-person conference option but with a unique ID that lets us know that you should be receiving additional information regarding how to attend the conference via your computer or mobile device.

When will I receive the instructions for attending the virtual event?

Movazi is working diligently to prepare for this unique experience and will send you the necessary instructions within a couple of weeks of the event. Make sure that the email address associated with your registration is accurate and up to date so that there is no delay in receiving our communications

How much does it cost to attend virtually?

The cost to register for the virtual conference is the same as the cost to register for the in-person conference. The cost to attend, however, is where you will see the potential savings. Consider that by attending virtually, you won’t need to book travel and lodging accommodations. Can I Share my virtual conference login information with other members of my team?

For every paid registration to attend virtually, only one device (computer, laptop, tablet, phone) will be allowed to enter the virtual conference. The credits earned, the questions asked, and the polling conducted within that single login session are all tied to the account of the individual that purchased the virtual event. With that said, there is nothing stopping you from attending the virtual event and allowing your colleagues to enjoy the conference right next to you from wherever you are viewing the event!
